Days of the week in Hebrew
In Israel the week begins on Sunday, and the days are mostly numbers: יוֹם רִאשׁוֹן is “the first day”, יוֹם שֵׁנִי “the second”, and so on. Only Saturday has a name, שַׁבָּת. The weekend is Friday and Saturday.
