Family words in Hebrew

Mom and dad are אִמָּא and אַבָּא, and grandma and grandpa סַבְתָּא and סַבָּא: in Israel adults use these words too, not only children.

The masculine plural in ־ים also covers a mixed group: יְלָדִים are children, boys and girls together.
