«So»: לָכֵן, the result after the reason

The same fact can be said in two orders. Result first, then כִּי and the reason: אֲנִי עָיֵף כִּי עָבַדְתִּי הַרְבֵּה, «I am tired because I worked a lot». Reason first, then לָכֵן and the result: עָבַדְתִּי הַרְבֵּה, לָכֵן אֲנִי עָיֵף, «I worked a lot, so I am tired». כִּי looks back, לָכֵן points forward.

There is a third word, for a reason that is a thing rather than a sentence: בִּגְלַל plus a noun. נִשְׁאַרְנוּ בַּבַּיִת בִּגְלַל הַגֶּשֶׁם, «we stayed home because of the rain». So: כִּי takes a whole sentence, בִּגְלַל takes a noun, לָכֵן opens the result.

Questions

How do you say «therefore» in Hebrew?
לָכֵן (lachen). It comes after the reason and opens the result: יוֹרֵד גֶּשֶׁם, לָכֵן אֲנַחְנוּ נִשְׁאָרִים בַּבַּיִת, «it is raining, so we are staying home».
What is the difference between כִּי and לָכֵן?
כִּי introduces the reason, לָכֵן the result. Same fact, opposite order: נִשְׁאַרְנוּ בַּבַּיִת כִּי יָרַד גֶּשֶׁם; יָרַד גֶּשֶׁם, לָכֵן נִשְׁאַרְנוּ בַּבַּיִת.
How do you say «because of» in Hebrew?
בִּגְלַל (biglal), followed by a noun: בִּגְלַל הַפְּקָקִים, «because of the traffic». Before a whole sentence you use כִּי.
