Verbs ending in ה in the future, and לִהְיוֹת: יִקְנֶה, יַעֲשֶׂה, יִהְיֶה
Verbs whose root ends in ה keep that ה in the future, with the vowel e: אֶקְנֶה «I will buy», תִּקְנֶה «you will buy», יִקְנֶה «he will buy», נִקְנֶה «we will buy». Before ־ִי and ־וּ the ה goes away: תִּקְנִי, יִקְנוּ. The same for יִרְצֶה «he will want», יִרְאֶה «he will see», יִשְׁתֶּה «he will drink», and with the throat-letter bend, יַעֲשֶׂה «he will do».
לִהְיוֹת «to be» belongs to this group, and it is the verb you need most, because Hebrew has no present of «to be» and the future has to say «will be»: אֶהְיֶה, תִּהְיֶה, יִהְיֶה, נִהְיֶה, תִּהְיוּ, יִהְיוּ. After «I ask that», «I want that», the second verb goes into the future: אֲנִי מְבַקֵּשׁ שֶׁתִּהְיֶה בְּשֶׁקֶט, «I ask you to be quiet».

- How do you say «I will be» in Hebrew?
- אֶהְיֶה (ehye). «We will be» is נִהְיֶה, «they will be» יִהְיוּ: the future of לִהְיוֹת.
- How do you ask a woman «what will you do?»
- מָה תַּעֲשִׂי? (ma ta’asi): before ־ִי the ה of תַּעֲשֶׂה disappears.
- Why does «I ask you to be quiet» use the future?
- Because after מְבַקֵּשׁ שֶׁ or רוֹצֶה שֶׁ Hebrew puts the future: שֶׁתִּהְיֶה בְּשֶׁקֶט, not the infinitive.
