Two-letter verbs in the future: אָגוּר, אָקוּם, אָבוֹא
In the past the person was an ending (גַּרְתִּי, גַּרְנוּ). In the future the person is a letter in front: א for «I», ת for «you» and «she», י for «he» and «they», נ for «we». The two-letter verbs are the easiest place to hear it, because the body of the verb is the infinitive with its ל taken off: לָגוּר, so אָגוּר «I will live», תָּגוּר «you will live», יָגוּר «he will live», נָגוּר «we will live».
Only two forms add an ending: «you» to a woman takes ־ִי, תָּגוּרִי, and the plurals take ־וּ, יָגוּרוּ «they will live». «She» is the same word as «you» (m.): הִיא תָּגוּר. The whole group runs this way: אָקוּם, אָבוֹא, אָשִׁיר, אָרוּץ, אָטוּס. And «let’s» is בּוֹא plus the «we» form: בּוֹא נָשִׁיר, «let’s sing».

- How is the future formed in Hebrew?
- The person goes in front of the verb: א «I», ת «you, she», י «he, they», נ «we». With two-letter verbs the rest is the infinitive without ל: לָקוּם, אָקוּם «I will get up».
- Why is «she will come» תָּבוֹא, like «you will come»?
- Because in the future «she» and «you» (m.) share the ת form. The pronoun הִיא or אַתָּה tells you who it is.
- How do you say «let’s sing»?
- בּוֹא נָשִׁיר: בּוֹא plus the «we» form of the future. To several people: בּוֹאוּ נָשִׁיר.
